Ultra Scalable Wireless Access (USWA)
This project researches how to best utilize recent ETSI DECT-2020 new radio (NR) standard and related first products in various industrial use cases and what kind of enhancements are beneficial in DECT-2020 evolution towards 6G systems.
DECT-2020 NR technology, standardized in ETSI, is based on a wireless mesh network architecture which enables large scale local networking by relaying data between different devices as well as direct connectivity between different devices. ITU-R has included DECT-2020 to be part of the 5G standards in IMT-2020 technology recommendation.
